I Let Him Down

I could see the hurt in his eyes,
When I told him the surprise.
His smile turned to a frown,
His life turned upside down.
He knew I didn't love him anymore.
I have said good-bye; I have shut the door.
And now tears stream down his face,
While they are not visible, I can see the disgrace.
I have broken his heart,
I have torn him apart.
How can I continue to love?
And create a new dove,
When I know I let him down.
I have burned his clown,
I have watered his flame.
And in all this, I have driven myself to shame.
Without Life, You Wouldn't Be Here
Live life happy and strong,
Live life like it's just begun.
Don't complain and moan
'Cause before you know it, you'll be all grown.
Lend a smile here and there.
Be joyful, proud and show you care.
Say, "I love you" once a day,
To your self, to anyone, okay?
Don't be afraid to cry,
Just remember to shine.
Life is too precious to waste in a bag,
So open up and show you're glad!
